Founding Go-to-Market Lead
Cinchapi is hiring a Founding Go-to-Market Lead to bring our operational AI platform to its first customers. As our first commercial hire, you’ll work directly with the CEO to choose where we focus and build a repeatable way to win business. You’ll put that strategy into practice through outbound prospecting, workshops that generate sales opportunities, and partnerships, managing deals from the first conversation through closing. This is a full-time, hybrid role in Atlanta, with a $90K–$110K base salary, $150K–$180K in on-target earnings with uncapped commission, and 0.75%–1% equity.
About Cinchapi
Cinchapi is where business runs itself. Our operational AI platform powers Ambient Agents that own ongoing outcomes, guided by high-level goals and KPIs.
Instead of directing AI task by task, you define what success looks like. Ambient Agents figure out how to achieve and sustain it, working continuously in the background to plan, act, orchestrate workflows, and adapt as conditions change.
For enterprises and small businesses alike, Cinchapi turns fragmented data and AI into operations that run autonomously.
We’re an Atlanta-based, founder-led company at an inflection point: the product is live, the AI market is exploding, and we’re ready to build a repeatable revenue engine. That’s where you come in.
The role
We’re looking for a Founding Go-to-Market Lead to find our first customers and build a repeatable way to reach, win, and grow them. As our first commercial hire, you’ll work directly with the CEO and have substantial say in where we focus, how we position the product, and how we sell it. You’ll also do the selling yourself, from the first conversation through the signed agreement.
We’re starting with mid-market companies: businesses whose operations span multiple systems, but where we can still work directly with decision-makers and move quickly. You’ll decide which industries and use cases to focus on first. We’ll also pursue enterprise design partners through targeted outreach and warm introductions where there’s a strong fit. Small businesses are a later opportunity, primarily through partners and self-serve, and you’ll help determine when and how we pursue them.
You’ll have the CEO’s support on product questions, technical demos, pricing, and deals where involving the founder makes a difference, along with introductions from the founder’s network. We’re looking to you to turn that support into a focused commercial strategy and carry it through the day-to-day work of winning customers.
What you’ll do
Develop a clear picture of our ideal customer, choose the industries we should pursue first, and work with the CEO to test pricing and packaging. As you learn what buyers need and what they’ll pay for, you’ll adjust our approach.
Build and run outbound prospecting across email, LinkedIn, phone, events, and warm introductions. You’ll be responsible for both deciding whom to contact and doing the consistent follow-up that turns an introduction into a real opportunity.
Develop and lead practical AI and agent-building workshops with industry associations, chambers of commerce, and business groups. These should help attendees understand what’s possible while giving us a way to meet prospective customers and identify where we can help.
Manage the full sales process, including discovery, demos, pilots, proposals, negotiation, and closing. You’ll keep opportunities moving and make sure prospective customers understand what we’re proposing and why it matters to their business.
Build relationships with managed service providers, consultants, agencies, and fractional executives who can introduce Cinchapi to their clients or resell our platform and services.
Put the basics in place for a growing commercial team: a useful CRM, prospecting tools, sales materials, demo scripts, and reporting that helps us understand what’s working.
Share what you’re hearing from customers with the CEO and engineering team so that real buying decisions and deployment needs inform our positioning, pricing, and product roadmap.
Help decide when we’re ready to add to the go-to-market team, which roles we need next, and how to bring those people on successfully. As the team grows, you’ll lead the hires you help make.
These are our starting points, not a fixed set of instructions. We want someone who brings ideas, tests them thoughtfully, and follows through on what works.
What success looks like
In your first 90 days, you’ll have identified our initial customer profile and priority industries, started consistent outbound prospecting, and delivered the first workshops. We should be building a qualified pipeline, with initial pilots underway.
By six months, you’ll have signed the first paying customers and design partners. We should have a clearer understanding of why customers buy, along with messaging, pricing, and demos that reflect what we’ve learned in actual sales conversations.
By the end of the first year, we should have a growing base of mid-market customers, including customers willing to serve as references, and a documented sales process we can repeat. Partnerships should be generating referrals, and the pipeline should support bringing on additional go-to-market hires for you to lead.
Who you are
You’ve spent roughly 5–10 years in B2B sales, business development, or go-to-market roles, ideally selling SaaS, data, AI, or other technical products. You’ve personally managed deals from initial outreach through closing, and you’ve helped a product win its first customers, whether as an early sales hire or a founder.
We’re especially interested in how you work:
You’ve built pipeline without an established stream of inbound leads. You can explain where your customers came from, what it took to reach them, and what you changed when an approach wasn’t working.
You’re comfortable moving between strategy and execution. Choosing a promising industry matters to you, but so does working through a prospect list and following up every week.
You can lead a room, whether you’re teaching business owners about AI or presenting to an enterprise buying team. You listen carefully, answer questions directly, and can make an unfamiliar product understandable without overselling it.
You’re technical enough to learn the platform, give a credible demo, and discuss agents and workflows with both operations and IT leaders. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you do need to understand what you’re selling.
You’re comfortable setting priorities without a detailed playbook and staying persistent when deals take longer than expected. The combination of ownership, uncapped commission, and equity appeals to you.
You’re based in Atlanta or willing to relocate, and you can travel locally for prospecting, workshops, and events.
Compensation and benefits
Base salary: $90,000–$110,000, depending on experience.
Commission: On-target earnings of $150,000–$180,000, with uncapped commission on closed software and services revenue and accelerators above quota. During ramp, we also offer pipeline-building bonuses and a non-recoverable commission draw while you build your initial pipeline.
Equity: 0.75%–1% in stock options, vesting over four years with a one-year cliff.
Benefits: Health reimbursement and flexible PTO.
Why this role
This is an opportunity to build the commercial side of a company while the important decisions are still open. You’ll work directly with the founder, influence the product through what you learn from customers, and help build the team as the business grows.
There’s no established sales process to step into, so you’ll need to be comfortable figuring things out and doing the work yourself. In return, you’ll have meaningful ownership of both the approach and the results, with compensation and equity that let you share in what you build.
